Profitunity!

Profitunity! is about turning your idea into money-making reality, helping people who need a break in life whilst learning from experts about businesses and how they really work.

How to get involved

Profitunity! is running at the following 16 universities:
Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Imperial, Leeds, Loughborough, LSE, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, UCL and Warwick.

We’ll visit these universities in October and November to tell you more about Profitunity! and answer your questions. Look out for our people on campus soon!

It is hard work and your team will need to be dedicated, but you will get an impressive skill-set and invaluable entrepreneurial experience through the competition. You will also have the chance to work closely with, and learn from, mentors from Ernst & Young and The Prince’s Trust.

Applications open on 5 October 2009 for teams of between four and six people. We look for bright motivated people, who want to showcase their business skills and who really care about making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people. We accept applications from all year groups and degree disciplines.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 6 November 2009, after which we’ll select the teams to compete.

If you have any questions please contact 0800 289 208 or email gradrec@uk.ey.com.

“‘Wrapped Up’’ from LSE organised a fashion show. Attended by more than 400 people, the event enabled up-and-coming models and fashion entrepreneurs to present their work. The team persuaded the models and fashion houses to work for free, increasing the return for The Prince’s Trust.”
“‘Tailor Made’’ from Southampton University entered the Guinness Book of Records for getting the most Smurfs in one room at one time!”
